Destiny Hill Farm Wedding - Kelsey & Derek

I cannot contain my excitement about sharing this wedding!!!! I’ve been anticipating it since we photographed their gorgeous engagement session last summer. If you haven’t checked that out you can do so HERE

Kelsey & Derek are high school sweethearts! They met in 11th grade when Derek asked Kelsey to the Junior Prom. They’ve been together ever since. They were married with the love and support of all their family and friends at St. Benedict the Abbot Church. The reception followed at one of our favorite locations, Destiny Hill Farm. To say we had a perfect day is an understatement. It was a breezy & beautiful June day. You couldn’t have asked for anything better.

“My mom helped me put on my dress, I loved taking pictures with her. It was special to have my mom help me plan the entire wedding together. She picked out my wedding dress, and it was so special she was there to help me get dressed.”-Kelsey

Kelsey had a grand reveal with her bridesmaids and their faces say it all. Kelsey is one stunning bride!!

Derek had the help of his Dad & brothers to get ready to marry his beautiful bride.

Derek & his mom, Becky had a sweet moment together before the wedding. She helped him pin on his boutonniere.

Kelsey had a first look with her dad at the church. It was so emotional it even made me well up!!

From the bride: “Knowing how hard it was for my dad to let go of his only daughter, I had the seamstress stitch one of his blue work shirts into my dress. I’m not sure how it started, but my dad and I use the phrase “Love Ya Too Much” or LYTM. The seamstress also stitched that into my dress, and I know how much that meant to my dad. “

From the couple: “Having 24 friends and family in our wedding party was something we were really looking forward to. Most of our friends have spread out across the country, so a reunion this large was absolutely perfect… Each and every groomsman and bridesmaid had some special part in our relationship.”
