This Duquesne Power Center Ballroom wedding is stunning. Dorian & Hali met at Duquesne University during their junior year of college.
From the bride- “Since we both had met at Duquesne, it was very sentimental that we celebrated our marriage where it all began. At the end of the day, it meant most to us that so many of our loved ones had made the trip to spend the special day with us – that was the best touch of all.”
If you spend any time with these two you will see just how in love they are. It’s contagious. You cannot help but smile when you are with them. It was an absolute joy to photograph their wedding day. There were so many moments that I could have included in this blog, trying to widdle it down to our favorites was a challenge.
These ladies are a tight-knit group. The room was full of laughter. Bride prep is my favorite time of day. I love that nervous energy that proceeds getting married.
Hali’s Randy Fenoli gown fit her like a glove. It was delicate and feminine.
Dorian’s reaction to seeing Hali, walking down the aisle with her father, is priceless. She literally took his breath away!
The ceremony was held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Pittsburgh. It had been a few years since we had photographed there and it was so nice to return.
JUST MARRIED!
Our first stop for photos was Station Square. We utilized the roundabout by the P & Lerr building. I love the view there. We lucked out for the wedding to have a semi-cloudy day so we didn’t have to worry about the sun being so bright!
The Blue Daisy took care of creating these beautiful bouquets. They coordinated with the gowns flawlessly!
What a beautiful bridal party.
Then we walked over to the Smithfield Street Bridge, which just so happens to be my favorite bridge in Pittsburgh.
One big thing the couple conveyed to me during the planning process was that they wanted to have fun with their bridal party. So we made sure to do some fun ideas everyone had.
This wasn’t a hard request because we had such a great and fun bridal party to work with. Photobomb!
The Duquesne Power Center Ballroom is one of my favorite venues in the city of Pittsburgh. I love the large windows that let in such great light for photos.
The evening was officially kicked off with several touching speeches. Matthew & I love to capture the reactions of the guests in attendance during the toasts.
Parent Dances.
These two are Duquesne sweethearts so of course, we had to take a Dukes group photo!
Hali & Dorian, it was an absolute privilege to share the wedding day with you. We loved capturing your memories. We wish you nothing but love and happiness.
