Erica & Scott – A George Washington Hotel Wedding

Meet Erica & Scott. These two love birds tied the knot on a beautiful spring day. Their gorgeous & elegant George Washington Hotel wedding was absolutely amazing.

From the bride: “I’ve dreamed of my wedding day since I was a little girl, so I was very excited to start the planning process… I fell in love with The George Washington Hotel as soon as I toured it, and I knew I wanted to have a vintage, elegant, and classy vibe. I loved all the gold decor so gold was an easy color to choose. I decided I wanted lots of color and loved the jewel tone palate!”

Erica’s vision surely came to life the day of their wedding. The George Washington Hotel was dripping with vintage elegance. Here are a few of our favorite images from their big day.

The bride’s lace covered Sophia Tolli gown fit her like a glove.

Scott’s dad helped him look his best.

From the couple : “December 2019 Erica and Scott hosted the annual “Gingerbread Party” at their home. Scott secretly had a gingerbread house made that said “Will You Marry Me?” In front of their immediate families and friends, Scott got down on one knee and popped the question. It was the easiest YES Erica ever said! They got to share the exciting news with each of their families and friends as they arrived.”

The couple opted for an intimate first look prior to the ceremony.

We chose to utilize Washington & Jefferson campus for portraits.

These two were so natural together in front of the camera.

The ceremony room at the George Washington Hotel is one of the most beautiful spaces! The floor-to-ceiling windows let in so much beautiful light. It is perfect. The violin added the perfect musical touch as Erica walked down the aisle.

I thought this was such a cute and unique photo that Erica requested. Each person is holding their parent’s wedding portrait.

All the pretty details. Perfection!

The couple danced their first dance to Taylor Swift’s song “Lover”.

Moving toasts were presented to the couple.

Both the bride & groom shared a special dance with their parents

Then with a little help from the awesome DJ Eric Schiemer, they boogied the night away!

Another unique touch is that Erica hired a live painter to paint their first dance. What a special thing to cherish!

We ended the night with a few portraits at the courthouse all lit up.

What a wedding! Thank you so much for choosing us to document your special day. We wish you many years of love and happiness.
