I am so excited to share this absolutely gorgeous vintage, deco, roaring 20s themed wedding.
Victoria and Zachary were married at the beautiful St. Bernard Church in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. The reception followed at the unique train station turned restaurant, the Grand Concourse in Station Square. Photos were very important to the couple. They allotted us a nicely padded time frame so we utilized several spots around Pittsburgh.
These two were such troopers. Early fall in Pittsburgh can be certainly unpredictable when it comes to weather. On this September day, Mother Nature decided we needed a whole lot of rain. That in no way dampened this couple’s spirits. We hope you enjoy some of our favorite images from their wedding day.
We were excited to head back to St. Bernard Church. It is such a beautiful parish. We love the gold tones throughout the church.
As we finished the ceremony there was a break in the rain so we did some photos right outside the church.
We headed to the Columns at the Mellon Institute. It is a great spot to use if it rains on the wedding day.
From the bride: “It was easy to decide on gold as the focal color… I joked with my hair stylist and my family that I wanted to look like I was going to the Oscars. This also went for my girls. I wanted them to have the old glamorous loose curls and gold dresses. “
This group of ladies exuded old Hollywood glamour. They were definitely Oscar ready.
Mt. Lebanon Floral made these classic bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids.
The groomsman each had different superhero cuff links and socks.
We then jumped over to use Pitt campus for some photos
Lastly, we took some photos of just the bride and groom on the Smithfield street bridge. The temperature started to drop and it was beginning to drizzle again so we decided to head to the reception after a couple photos.
The Grand Concourse was decked out to the nines! It was so pretty.
The couple do a champagne pour as part of their grand entrance.
They did a sweet choreographed ballroom dance to Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On.”
The guests didn’t let a little thing like cold weather keep them from being out on the patio dance floor. Steven Vance kept the party going until the end of the night.
The couple also treated their guests to a late night snack of Leona’s Ice Cream Sandwiches. They were so yummy!
Victoria & Zach it was a pleasure to photograph your beautiful wedding!! We wish you many years of love and happiness.
