Oh, the places you’ll go... It’s the only way I can think to describe this journey we’ve been on this year!!!! The coronavirus pandemic hit the wedding industry hard. Out of the contracted 20+ weddings we joyfully looked forward to photographing, we really only photographed 4 full weddings. Most of our other clients either eloped, rescheduled, or canceled. At first, I was completely devastated at the loss. I cried many tears because it felt like a door had closed on something that Matthew & I had worked for over 10 years to build. I personally felt empty and sad.

On a whim, I decided to do a few family portrait sessions. Matthew was working a full-time job and I just felt that I needed to get photographing again. I wanted the camera in my hand! After photographing a handful of families I rediscovered the love I once had for family photography. It was like a window had opened. What a blessing it was to get to see my past couples again. Getting to meet the little families they started made me so happy. I also started photographing couples who’ve been married for years but hadn’t take photographs together professionally really since their weddings.

After sitting down and having a long talk with Matthew we decided to expand our business by scaling back on the wedding photography just a little bit to make room and time for these family portrait sessions. Don’t get too worried though my wonderful couples to be 💗there is still plenty of space in our hearts for weddings. We’re just cutting back the number of weddings we take per year.

So it is with that we announce the new name we will be transitioning over to...
